| Testimonials Here is what some people have said about a DRB dinosaur dig: "This was funner than PlayStation!" Second Grade Student Amanda Moore Elementary -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can't thank you enough for the wonderful assembly you brought to St. Isaac Jogues! The kids are still buzzing about it! Every teacher in the school has stopped me and told me how impressed they were with you (you kept the kids focused and at task) and how much they learned! Thanks again, I will recommend the DRB to everyone! God's Peace, Lori Hakim St. Isaac Jogues School, St. Clair Shores, MI -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The second graders had a wonderful time with the dinosaur dig on Tuesday, as did the teachers. It was a wonderful hands-on experience which enabled the students to be a part of the excavation process as well as to help assemble the skeleton. They learned a great deal of information from being a part of the entire process. The educational assembly you presented fit perfectly into our curriculum and helped us to achieve several of the standards. Thank you very much for your interest and enthusiasm in helping us to bring such an exciting part of our curriculum to life for the students. I am sure this was an experience they will never forget. For these reasons, we plan to use this assembly as an ongoing enhancement to our curriculum in future years. Once again, thank you very much and I will be sure to contact you again next year. Sincerely, L.L. Flickenger Elementary School -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am writing this letter to tell you about the experience I had with John Ribbing with the Dinosaur Dig Birthday party. I must say first, that my son, Steven, is absolutely fascinated with all types of prehistoric creatures, dinosaurs, and reptiles and such. My husband and I had just moved to a very small town, so my three boys, ages 6, 8, and 10, had started with a brand new school last year. We wanted to throw a birthday party for Steven that he would always remember and make it very special and to invite all his newfound friends that had his passion for dinosaurs. John Ribbing and I spoke and made plans for our “secret” dinosaur dig. John was very helpful in the planning of the party as far as timing and pre-planning. He arrived the day before the actual dig and prepared the soil and fossils. I had all the boys wear “paleontologist uniforms” and scripted a letter with the anticipation of our great adventure for the parents and kids. All the boys arrived and John explained “at their age level” what we would be looking for and lots of fascinating facts about dinosaur digs and the boys were beaming with excitement!!! The dig was more than I could have ever expected. We used tools, brushes and our hands an unearthed this incredible dinosaur fossil. The boys could not have been more excited!! As we unearthed our fossil, John explained the facts of the fossils and asked the boys all kinds of questions and gave interesting facts, and it really helped them get the “whole” experience of the dig. As John and the boys “rebuilt” the fossils, it really came to life and neighbors and people were stopping by and absolutely amazed at our newfound discovery!! I have to say, it was the absolute best birthday party I have ever been a part of. Each boy, including my Steven, said it was the best time they ever, ever had and they were just beaming as their parents came to pick them up. Oh the stories I still hear are amazing. I would highly recommend this Dinosaur Dig to any and all ages. I cannot tell you glad I am to have done this for my son. It is something that he will remember the rest of his life. Melissa Hart Romeo, MI -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Ribbing, On behalf of the second graders at Havel, THANK YOU!! We had a great time learning about the Maiasaura with you. Your presentation was superb and we really enjoyed ourselves. The model of the Maiasaura was great! Thanks for allowing Havel to be a part of your excellent learning experience. C.H. Havel Elementary -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We loved having Mr. Ribbing come to our school to teach us about dinosaur bones. The dig seemed so real and made learning very exciting for our children. "It was the best day of my life," said a four- year-old preschooler. We would recommend Mr. Ribbing and his program for kids of all ages. C.B. and M.C. Peace Lutheran School -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our second-grade students voted this as their favorite field trip of the year, even though they never left the school grounds.
